S16 Research Ventures

What do we do here in S16 Research Ventures?

We are a leading Web3 fund and Validator.

We're here to build and fund Web3 infrastructure and technologies. We are investing in and operating validators for the most promising protocols.

What is a validator in Cosmos Networks?

Validators are nodes that keep the network secure. Validators get rewards in ATOMS for each block.

What is the role of validators?

The role of validators is to run a full-node and participate in consensus by broadcasting votes which contain cryptographic signatures signed by their private key. Validators commit new blocks in the blockchain and receive revenue in exchange for their work. They must also participate in governance by voting on proposals.

Validators are weighted according to their total stake. Their role is critical to the system’s success by relaying transactions and proposing, verifying and finalizing blocks.

How to become an active Validator?

As of now, there is a total of 175 active Cosmos validators. You need to get into the top 175 validators with the most voting power (represented by a total $ATOM staked)

What projects are S16 validating in?

Currently, we are validating for Cosmos Hub -- ATOM, OSMOSIS and JUNO.

You can check the Validation page for the status.

What will be the commission if you stake through S16?

ATOM 10%

OSMOSIS 5%

JUNO 5%

Are you reliable? Why should we stake at S16?

Yes! We are a professional and reliable validator with a great team. We have a good uptime as you can see here in mintscan.io

Do you have customer support?

If you encounter any problem while staking, or if you have ideas on how to improve us as a validator, you can contact us through gin@s16.ventures

Is there any risk staking through S16?

Staking $ATOM is not risk-free. If a validator has downtime or underperforms, a percentage of $ATOM delegated to them may be forfeited. To mitigate these risks, it is recommended that $ATOM holders delegate to multiple validators.

So far, we can still keep up with the good work and will continue to do so in the future.

What happens if the price of $ATOM drops when staked? Any compensation?

We as a validator do not have the power to influence the price, therefore we can't give any guarantee about everything. Before you decide to stake your token, please do your own research about the token and the projects. We will not provide any financial advice.
